Your trip, connected
How to use your eSIM
Choose your plan, install your eSIM, and connect when you arrive. Here’s what to do at each step.
Step 01
Choose your plan
Start with where you’re going and how much data you need.
- Search your destination. Check the countries included if you’re visiting more than one.
- Choose your data and duration. Compare the plan details and activation timing before buying.
- Check out. Your confirmation email includes the QR code and installation details.
Step 02
Install your eSIM
Use a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Check your plan’s activation timing first: some plans start at installation, others on first connection.
Install on iPhone
- Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service).
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Choose Use QR Code and scan the code from your email.
QR code not scanning? Enter the activation code manually instead—it’s in your confirmation email. See troubleshooting tips
Step 03
Connect at your destination
Make these changes for your travel eSIM—not your regular SIM.
- Select the eSIM for mobile data in your Cellular or SIM settings.
- Turn on Data Roaming for your travel eSIM line.
- Connect to a supported network. You can keep your regular SIM for calls and texts.
Can I set it up before my trip?
Yes, and we recommend it. Install your eSIM at home over Wi-Fi before you leave. Most plans don’t start counting down until you arrive and use data. Some start on install — we show you which type it is on the plan page.
What if the QR code won't scan?
Try better lighting or hold your phone steady. Still stuck? You can type in the activation code manually — it’s in your confirmation email. Check our troubleshooting guide or message our support team.
Does my regular SIM still work?
Yes. Your physical SIM keeps working for calls and texts. The eSIM handles data. Both run at the same time — you don't have to choose.
How do I know it's working?
You’ll see the carrier name in your status bar. Open any app— if it loads, you’re connected. Having trouble? Check our troubleshooting guide
What happens when I run out of data?
Check your remaining data anytime in your dashboard. If your plan supports it, you can buy a top-up to add more data. Your eSIM stays installed — only the data runs out, not the profile.
Will it work on my phone?
Most phones made since 2018 support eSIM — iPhones (XS+), Samsung Galaxy (S20+), Google Pixel (4+), and more. Not sure? Check your device
