How to Safely Delete an eSIM Profile
When Should You Delete an eSIM?
There are a few good reasons to remove an eSIM profile from your phone:
- Your plan has expired or you've used all the data -- no reason to keep it cluttering up your settings
- You're switching to a new eSIM plan for a different destination
- You've hit your device's eSIM limit and need to free up a slot for a new profile
If none of these apply, it's usually better to leave the eSIM installed and simply turn off the line. That way you keep the profile on your device without it being active.
Before You Delete: Read This First
Deleting an eSIM is permanent. Once you remove the profile from your device, it cannot be reinstalled from the same QR code. The QR code is consumed during the original installation, and the vendor does not support re-downloading a deleted profile.
Before you delete anything:
- Make sure your plan is fully used up or expired. If you still have data or validity remaining, do not delete the eSIM -- disable the line instead.
- If you just want to stop using the eSIM temporarily, disable the line rather than deleting it. On iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular, tap the eSIM, and toggle off "Turn On This Line." On Android, you can disable the SIM without removing it.
- Understand that deletion is irreversible. If you delete an eSIM with remaining data and need to get reconnected, you'll need to contact Only eSIM support to request a new eSIM be issued.

How to Delete an eSIM on Samsung

What If You Deleted an eSIM by Mistake?
If you accidentally deleted an eSIM that still had data or validity remaining:
- Contact Only eSIM support immediately with your order number -- we'll check what's possible on our end
- Do not try to scan the original QR code again -- it will not work. Once an eSIM profile is deleted, the same QR code cannot reinstall it.
- If your plan can be recovered, our support team may be able to issue a new eSIM with a fresh QR code
The best way to avoid this situation is to always disable your eSIM line instead of deleting it when you want to stop using it temporarily. When in doubt, reach out to us first.
